Art Runs Deep @ The Stillwater is a program to showcase, promote and sustain contemporary artists within and beyond the Buffalo art community.

The Stillwater offers a mixture of spaces that blends traditional and formal with modern and contemporary architecture. As a venue, The Stillwater is suitably equipped to exhibit visual art, video screenings, performance and installation.

Art Runs Deep welcomes artist submissions for both visual and time-based art, including painting, photography, mixed-media, video/film, performance, and installation. Shows run for approximately 6 weeks.

Shows Schedule and Submissions Deadline:

Mar-Apr: Showcase: Buffalo Society of Artists. Submission deadline: Mar 15.

May-Jun: Showcase: Ontario Artists. Submission deadline: May 15.

Jul-Aug: Showcase: European Artists. Submission deadline: Jul 15.

Sep-Oct: Showcase: Buffalo Society of Artists. Submission deadline: Sep 15.

Nov-Dec: Open to All Artists. Submission deadline: Nov 15.

 

Submission Requirements:

With your submissions form, please include CV and/or bio; 10-12 images of works; a list indicating title, medium, size, creation date and sale price of each work. For digital images, please send in JPEG format, 4"x6" size, at 72dpi. If you choose to send slides, please clearly label with name and phone number. Submit time-based works in CD/DVD format. If your works are accepted, you will receive an agreement form.

 

On-line submissions: Type required information into email form (click). Attach images.

 

Mailed submissions: Print and fill out form. (click). Include CD, DVD, slides, or prints. Forward with a self-addressed envelope and postage for return. Submissions that do not include sufficient postage cannot be returned. Do not send original work, only copies. Art Runs Deep cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss to submitted materials during transportation. Contact us if you have a change of address or telephone number.

Selected paintings and photos are required to be sent matted and/or framed appropriately for exhibition.
